Corneille – Les Femmes de la Bible (2000) | Terragraph 64/120

€1,295.00

A striking and highly decorative work by Corneille (Guillaume Cornelis van Beverloo, 1922–2010), one of the founding members of the celebrated CoBrA movement.

Les Femmes de la Bible, created in 2000, is a vibrant terragraph on paper featuring many of the visual elements for which Corneille became internationally recognised: the female figure, the bird, the sun and an exuberant palette of intense colours. The powerful red background gives the composition exceptional presence, while the characteristic combination of human and animal forms makes this an unmistakable Corneille.

This example is number 64 from a limited edition of 120.

The artwork has recently been professionally reframed to a high conservation standard. It is presented in a substantial, high-quality frame approximately 6 cm deep, giving the work a particularly luxurious and architectural appearance. New premium Artglass has been installed to reduce reflections and provide additional protection, while the reverse has been professionally sealed to protect the artwork and framing package.

The work is accompanied by an original written Certificate of Authenticity dated 8 March 2026 and signed by Natan Koch, confirming the authenticity of the Corneille terragraph Les Femmes de la Bible, edition 64/120.
